Paul:

Good to hear ,,, a good example of why maintenance and support is important.
Occasionally and it is very occasionally -- possibly once or twice a release
cycle, we find bugs. Or like in this case, we find changes needed to support
more modern PDFs when they are included as images.

As you are a supported customer, you can just download from the web site and
take advantage of all those goodies.

I've forwarded the number I gave you to me so I am available to assist this
evening if needed.

It's looking good Kevin. About to copy it up to the server now.
Thanks so much for your help.

big-whopping-major-everyone's-nervous publication going to the director
tomorrow! I have to make sure we have a swift path to getting this
latest version.

Thanks so much,

Paul

Paul:

There was a bug with included PDFs fixed in 4.17. I have confirmed that
this
is the case as I get the error run with an older version.

What version of renderx are you running?

Paul:

I have no problem inserting this. please test standalone using the
attached
FO file and xep.bat or x4u.bat.

If this works, then I believe that the server program is not delivering
the
stream properly.

Thanks so much,

Here's an example of a file that's causing the error.

(Other files split using the same splitter (pdftk) seem to be OK.)

Paul:

based on your writing below, it appears you have some application that
is
serving up PDFs ... in fact, it could be splitting them.

If so, please send me the exact PDF (whole) and the PDf that results
from
the URL saved to your disk.

We can check your splitter to see if it is doing things acceptably.
